Survey Settings

The Survey Settings tab configures global defaults for all surveys. Individual surveys can override these settings from their edit screen.

Navigate to WP Admin > WB Polls > Settings and open the Survey Settings tab.

Select which WordPress roles are allowed to create new surveys. Use the multi-select dropdown to choose one or more roles.

By default, all roles can create surveys when no roles are selected. Select specific roles to restrict survey creation to trusted users.

Set the default access level applied when creating new surveys.

Option Who Can Access
Anyone (Public) All visitors, including logged-out users
Logged-in Users Only Only authenticated WordPress users
Specific User Roles Only selected WordPress roles

This is a default. Each survey can override this from its own settings.

When the default access level is set to “Specific User Roles”, choose which roles can access new surveys by default.

Use the multi-select dropdown to pick one or more roles. This setting only applies when access level is set to roles.

When enabled, respondents can take the same survey multiple times. When disabled, each user or email can only submit once.

When enabled, surveys request an email address from respondents before they can start. This is useful for tracking responses and sending confirmation emails.

Set the default privacy consent text shown when collecting email addresses. Respondents must accept this consent before starting the survey.

Leave blank to skip the consent step. When set, a checkbox with this text appears on the survey start screen.

When enabled, respondents see aggregate survey results after submitting their answers. When disabled, respondents only see the thank you message.

The message displayed after a respondent completes a survey. Leave blank to show a simple “Thank you” confirmation.

Use this to thank participants, explain next steps, or share what happens with their data.
