Video Script - 2-Minute Product Tour (Canonical)
A scripted, scene-by-scene walkthrough showing what a real Listora directory looks like and what site owners, vendors, and visitors can do. Hand to a voiceover artist and screen-recording editor as a complete production brief.
Total length: 1:55 - 2:05 Target watch-time: 75%+ (90 seconds) Audience: prospective site owners and agencies evaluating directory plugins Hook: “Watch a directory go from empty site to first paid listing in two minutes.” Voiceover pace: 155-165 words/min. Read aloud before recording - if any sentence sounds unnatural spoken, rewrite it.
SCENE 1 - Hook (0:00 - 0:08)
Section titled “SCENE 1 - Hook (0:00 - 0:08)”Duration: 8 seconds Words: ~28 B-roll: Quick montage - 3 distinct directory homepages flickering in sequence: a food guide with category cards, a real-estate grid with map sidebar, a job board with filter column. Each shot holds for 2 seconds. Subtle zoom-in on each. Transition: Hard cut to screen-record at 0:08
On screen: The 3-directory montage described above. No title card yet.
Voiceover:
Every great directory starts as an idea. The hard part is everything between idea and a site real businesses want to list on. Watch one go from empty WordPress install to first paid listing - in two minutes.
Pacing note: Deliver this at a slightly slower pace (145 words/min) - the viewer is orienting. Pick up speed from Scene 2 onward.
SCENE 2 - Setup Wizard (0:08 - 0:25)
Section titled “SCENE 2 - Setup Wizard (0:08 - 0:25)”Duration: 17 seconds Words: ~60 B-roll: Screen-record of the Listora Setup Wizard at 2x fast-forward speed, ticking through all 6 steps - type selection, location settings, maps configuration, page creation, demo content picker, completion summary. End frame: the populated Directory page with 20 demo listings visible. Transition: Smooth crossfade (0.4s) to Scene 3
On screen: Setup wizard fast-forward, finishing on home-frontend.png style shot - the live directory with featured carousel, categories grid, listing cards below.
Reference screenshots: setup-wizard-step1.png, home-frontend.png
Voiceover:
Download WB Listora from wbcomdesigns.com. The 6-step setup wizard walks you through your listing types, location taxonomies, map provider, and default pages - then loads demo content for the vertical you pick. Restaurant, hotel, real estate, job board - 9 demo packs, 128 listings seeded, ready to browse. Not lorem ipsum.
Pacing note: “Not lorem ipsum” lands harder with a 0.5-second beat before it. No filler words - this scene is on a tight clock.
SCENE 3 - What the Visitor Experiences (0:25 - 0:50)
Section titled “SCENE 3 - What the Visitor Experiences (0:25 - 0:50)”Duration: 25 seconds Words: ~85 B-roll: Continuous visitor walkthrough - homepage load, typing “italian” into the search bar with autocomplete appearing, Near Me button click with results re-sorting, sidebar facet click (Outdoor Seating checkbox), click into a listing detail page, scroll to Reviews tab with multi-criteria star display and photos, Add to Compare click with floating comparison bar appearing. Transition: Screen wipe left (0.3s) to Scene 4
On screen (text overlays):
- At 0:27: “Keyword search with live suggestions”
- At 0:33: “Near Me geo-sort”
- At 0:37: “Faceted filters - no page reload”
- At 0:43: “Multi-criteria reviews with photos”
Reference screenshots: search-and-filters.png, multi-criteria-reviews.png, compare-listings.png, business-claims.png
Voiceover:
Visitors get what they expect in 2026. Keyword search that suggests as you type. Near Me geolocation that re-sorts results by distance. Sidebar facets that update results without a page reload - and the URL updates too, so visitors can share or bookmark exactly what they searched. The detail page has everything: gallery, hours, services, reviews with per-aspect ratings and photos, a map, a contact form that emails the owner without ever exposing their address. They can save favorites, compare 2-4 listings side by side, and write multi-criteria reviews scoring food, service, value, and ambiance separately.
Pacing note: This is the most word-dense scene. Hold 165 words/min here - the screen action carries the viewer so the VO can move quickly.
SCENE 4 - Vendor Dashboard (0:50 - 1:15)
Section titled “SCENE 4 - Vendor Dashboard (0:50 - 1:15)”Duration: 25 seconds
Words: ~80
B-roll: Switch to a logged-in vendor at /my-listings/. Show the dashboard tabs in sequence - Listings (with status badges), Reviews (with an owner reply being typed), Saved Searches, Needs. Demonstrate one Renew click showing the credit balance updating. End on the “Awaiting Credits” state row with a Buy Credits CTA visible.
Transition: Crossfade (0.4s) to Scene 5
On screen (text overlays):
- At 0:52: “Vendor dashboard - no wp-admin login”
- At 1:02: “Reply to reviews from the same screen”
- At 1:10: “One-click renewal”
Reference screenshots: listing-lifecycle-dashboard.png, user-dashboard.png, saved-searches.png
Voiceover:
Vendors never see wp-admin. They get a clean frontend dashboard at
/my-listings/. Edit any owned listing. Reply to reviews publicly. Renew with one click. Feature their listing for credits. Deactivate temporarily when they are on holiday. Pro adds saved searches with email alerts when new matching listings appear - and a Needs tab showing buyer requests that match their type and location, so vendors can respond with quotes instead of waiting to be discovered.
Pacing note: Drop pace slightly on “They get a clean frontend dashboard” - let that visual land before continuing.
SCENE 5 - Monetization (1:15 - 1:40)
Section titled “SCENE 5 - Monetization (1:15 - 1:40)”Duration: 25 seconds
Words: ~80
B-roll: Admin walkthrough - Pricing Plans admin page with three plan tiers visible, Credits balance in the admin bar, a vendor checkout flow on /buy-credits/ with the Stripe payment form, the Transactions admin list with real entries (listing title, plan name, amount, timestamp). Quick cut to the Coupons admin page.
Transition: Hard cut (0.3s) to Scene 6
On screen (text overlays):
- At 1:17: “Define plans - free, paid, featured”
- At 1:25: “Stripe + PayPal direct, plus 5 payment adapters”
- At 1:32: “Hold-and-Commit - a half-paid listing never half-publishes”
Reference screenshots: pricing-plans-admin.png, credits-and-plans.png, buy-credits-page.png, transactions.png, coupons.png
Voiceover:
Pro adds the business model. Define pricing plans - free Basic, paid Featured, premium Premium - with credit costs, durations, and entitlements. Vendors buy credit packs through any of the 7 payment integrations: Stripe and PayPal direct, plus WooCommerce, WooCommerce Subscriptions, MemberPress, Paid Memberships Pro, and WooMemberships bridged out of the box. Hold-and-Commit activation means credits are reserved on plan start and only deducted on publish - a half-paid listing never half-publishes. Add coupons. Track every transaction in the audit log.
Pacing note: Name-drop the payment integrations quickly - one breath. The Hold-and-Commit sentence gets a natural pause before it, then deliver it clean.
SCENE 6 - Reverse Marketplace (1:40 - 1:55)
Section titled “SCENE 6 - Reverse Marketplace (1:40 - 1:55)”Duration: 15 seconds Words: ~50 B-roll: Quick cut to the Needs Marketplace - buyer-posted requests in a card grid with category/urgency/budget badges. A vendor clicking one need. A quote response form appearing. End on the “2 Responses” badge on a need card. Transition: Slow dissolve (0.5s) to Scene 7 end card
On screen (text overlay):
- At 1:42: “Needs Marketplace (Pro)”
Reference screenshot: needs-marketplace.png
Voiceover:
And one more thing. Pro includes the Needs Marketplace. Instead of vendors waiting to be found, buyers post what they need - “caterer for 200 guests in Brooklyn” - and matching businesses respond with quotes. A second flywheel built right into the directory.
Pacing note: “And one more thing” works as a brief beat - 0.3s pause before the sentence that follows. Do not rush this scene - it is the final feature before the CTA.
SCENE 7 - Call to Action (1:55 - 2:05)
Section titled “SCENE 7 - Call to Action (1:55 - 2:05)”Duration: 10 seconds Words: ~25 B-roll: WB Listora logo animates in on a clean ocean-blue background. URL “wbcomdesigns.com” fades in below. “Free + Pro” appears in coral accent. Hold for 5 seconds. Transition: Fade to black
On screen: Logo lockup + wbcomdesigns.com + “Free + Pro”
Voiceover:
Free and Pro at wbcomdesigns.com. Run your directory the way you want - without the limits of a plugin built ten years ago. WB Listora.
Pacing note: Slow this down to 130 words/min. The viewer needs time to register the URL.
Production Notes
Section titled “Production Notes”Music: Mid-tempo, optimistic, no vocals. BPM 110-125. Epidemic Sound library “Confidence” or “Forward Motion” categories. Fade to 20% under voiceover, full volume on end card.
Voice: Neutral US English, conversational. The voice character is a knowledgeable colleague - not a hype presenter. Avoid upward inflections on statements. Record 2 takes per scene; use the one that sounds more natural spoken than read.
Captions: Burned in for silent autoplay (dominant social viewing pattern). White text, 2px black outline, Inter or system-sans, 28px at 1920x1080 master. Max 42 characters per line. Two lines maximum at any moment.
Color treatment: Listora brand palette - primary ocean blue (#0077B6 reference) with coral accent (#FF6B6B reference). Apply a light film LUT - lift shadows slightly to keep the screen-record legible on mobile.
