Managing Scheduled Posts
Your scheduled posts live in a dedicated tab on your BuddyPress profile until they publish.
Finding your scheduled posts
Section titled “Finding your scheduled posts”- Go to your profile page.
- Look for the Scheduled Posts tab in your profile navigation. The tab shows a count badge with the number of pending posts.
- Click the tab to open the list.
Privacy: The Scheduled Posts tab is visible only to you. Other members, including admins, cannot see this tab on your profile.
What you see in the list
Section titled “What you see in the list”Each scheduled post shows:
- Your post content (text, any linked media).
- The scheduled date and time (displayed as “Scheduled for: [date] at [time]”).
- A Delete button.
The list loads 20 posts per page. If you have more, a Load More button appears at the bottom.
Deleting a scheduled post
Section titled “Deleting a scheduled post”To remove a scheduled post before it publishes:
- Go to your Scheduled Posts tab.
- Find the post you want to remove.
- Click the Delete link or button on that post.
- A confirmation prompt asks: “Are you sure you want to delete this scheduled activity?”
- Confirm. The post is permanently deleted and will not publish.
Deletion is permanent. There is no trash for scheduled activities.
The post count badge
Section titled “The post count badge”The Scheduled Posts tab shows a count of how many posts are pending. This count:
- Appears in the tab label (e.g., “Scheduled Posts 3”).
- Updates after you delete a post.
- Returns to zero when all scheduled posts have published.
On BuddyBoss Platform the count label is displayed without the HTML <span> wrapper (BuddyBoss strips inline HTML from navigation labels).
When posts stop appearing
Section titled “When posts stop appearing”A scheduled post disappears from the list when:
- Its scheduled time arrives and the cron job publishes it, or
- You delete it manually.
If a post is still in the list past its scheduled time, the cron job may not have run yet. WordPress cron is triggered by site traffic - on low-traffic sites there can be a delay. Wait a few minutes, or ask your host to confirm cron is running.
Clock icon shortcut
Section titled “Clock icon shortcut”From any page with the activity posting form, you can click the clock icon > View Scheduled Activities to jump directly to your Scheduled Posts tab without navigating to your profile first.
