Calendar Block
Calendar Block
Section titled “Calendar Block”The Calendar block (eventonomy/calendar) shows a month-grid calendar of your upcoming event occurrences. Every day cell already lists the events on that date, so visitors read the month at a glance rather than clicking each day to find out what is on.
When to Use It
Section titled “When to Use It”Add it to your Events page when you want visitors to browse by date rather than scroll a list. It pairs well with the Search & Filter block placed above it.
How to Add It
Section titled “How to Add It”Block Editor:
- Open your Events page in the Block Editor.
- Click + and search for Eventonomy Calendar.
- Insert the block.
Shortcode:
[eventonomy_calendar view="month"]Use the shortcode in the Classic Editor or in a page builder that doesn’t support Gutenberg blocks.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”| Setting | Attribute | Default | Description |

(empty) | The calendar layout. Leave this empty to use your site’s default view. |
What Visitors Can Do
Section titled “What Visitors Can Do”Each day cell shows the events happening that day as small labelled entries; clicking one opens that event. The previous and next arrows move a month at a time, which loads the page again with the new month in the address bar (so a month is a shareable, bookmarkable link).
A busy day is truncated with a “+N more” link so no single date can swamp the grid. Set the cut-off at Eventonomy → Settings → Appearance → Max events shown per day (month view) (default: 3).
