Quick Start

After installing the plugin, members can schedule their first activity in a few steps.

  1. Go to your BuddyPress activity feed or profile page.
  2. Click the clock icon in the activity post form toolbar to open the schedule menu.
  3. Click Schedule Activity in the dropdown.
  4. In the scheduling modal, choose a date (format: yyyy-mm-dd) and time (hh:mm).
  5. Select AM or PM.
  6. Click Next. The modal closes and the submit button changes to Schedule.
  7. Write your activity content as normal.
  8. Click Schedule to submit. You will see a confirmation message with a link to your scheduled posts.

Go to your profile and click the Scheduled Posts tab. It shows all your pending posts along with their scheduled date and time.

From this tab you can also delete a scheduled post before it publishes — click the delete link on any activity entry.

A background job checks every minute for activities whose scheduled time has passed. Once the time arrives, the post is made public in the activity feed. On sites with low traffic the delay may be slightly longer than one minute because the check relies on page loads to trigger.
