Installation
Install and activate Woo Sell Services on your WordPress site. The plugin requires WooCommerce and uses EDD licensing for updates and support.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- WordPress 3.0.1 or higher
- WooCommerce installed and activated
- PHP 7.4 or higher recommended
Installation
Section titled “Installation”From WordPress Admin
Section titled “From WordPress Admin”- Navigate to WP Admin > Plugins > Add New
- Click Upload Plugin
- Select the
woo-sell-services.zipfile - Click Install Now
- Click Activate Plugin
Via FTP/SFTP
Section titled “Via FTP/SFTP”- Extract the
woo-sell-services.zipfile - Upload the
woo-sell-servicesfolder to/wp-content/plugins/ - Navigate to WP Admin > Plugins
- Find Woo Sell Services and click Activate
License Activation
Section titled “License Activation”A valid license key is required for automatic updates and support access.
- Navigate to WP Admin > WB Plugins > License
- Enter your license key in the Woo Sell Services field
- Click Activate License
- Verify the status shows Active
Your license key is available in your Wbcom Designs account under the Downloads section.
What Happens on Activation
Section titled “What Happens on Activation”When Woo Sell Services activates:
- Two custom database tables are created (
wss_sell_messagesfor conversations,wss_service_notificationsfor notifications) - Default settings are applied for general, notification, and webhook options
- The “Service” product type option becomes available in WooCommerce
- Three WooCommerce My Account endpoints are registered (
service-orders,service-provider,services-notification)
Initial Configuration
Section titled “Initial Configuration”After activation, configure these essential settings:
- General Settings — set vendor roles, service detail page, and auto-complete options
- Notification Settings — enable email and in-app notifications
- Pages — assign a page for the service detail view using the
[wss_services_shortcode]shortcode
Navigate to WP Admin > Woo Sell Services to access the settings panel.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Plugin Does Not Activate
Section titled “Plugin Does Not Activate”Woo Sell Services requires WooCommerce. Verify that WooCommerce is installed and activated before activating Woo Sell Services.
Endpoints Not Working
Section titled “Endpoints Not Working”After activation, flush your permalinks:
- Navigate to WP Admin > Settings > Permalinks
- Click Save Changes (no changes needed, just save)
This registers the new WooCommerce endpoints.
