PeepSo Integration

WP Stories integrates with PeepSo to display stories within the PeepSo activity stream and user profiles.

Requirements

  • PeepSo 3.0 or higher

Enabling the Integration

Section titled “Enabling the Integration”
  1. Go to WP Stories > Settings > Integrations.
  2. Under the PeepSo section, toggle PeepSo Integration on.
  3. Click Save Changes.

The PeepSo section only appears on the Integrations tab when PeepSo is active on your site.

Configuration Options

Show Story Form on Activity Page

When enabled, the story creation form appears on the PeepSo activity feed page, allowing users to submit stories directly from the activity stream.

Enable Stories on Profiles

Section titled “Enable Stories on Profiles”

Shows stories on PeepSo user profile pages. Users can view and manage their stories from their own profile.

Enable Story Collections

Section titled “Enable Story Collections”

Allows users to create story collections with custom cover images and titles (similar to Instagram Highlights). When enabled, the submission form includes optional fields for a cover image and collection title.

Show Story Viewers

Section titled “Show Story Viewers”

Displays a list of who viewed each story. This information is visible only to the story owner.

Using the PeepSo Shortcode

You can display the PeepSo story stream on any page using:

[wp-stories-peepso]

This shortcode renders the PeepSo activity stories. It requires both PeepSo to be active and the PeepSo integration to be enabled in settings. If either condition is not met, the shortcode outputs nothing.

Privacy Controls

Story visibility follows the same options available across WP Stories. When the PeepSo Friends add-on is active, users can restrict stories to friends only. Available visibility levels are configured under WP Stories > Settings > User Publishing Options > Available Visibility Options.
