At a Glance
Section titled “At a Glance”BuddyPress
Section titled “BuddyPress”Full support. Hashtags work in activity updates, activity comments, group posts, and blog activity. A “Followed Hashtags” tab is added to the activity directory (Nouveau template) and to member profile activity. See BuddyPress & BuddyBoss.
BuddyBoss Platform
Section titled “BuddyBoss Platform”Full support with BuddyBoss-specific overrides. Because BuddyBoss uses its own activity search logic, the plugin overrides the search SQL to ensure hashtag filtering works correctly. “Followed Hashtags” appears in BuddyBoss’s built-in activity filter dropdown and in group timeline filters. See BuddyPress & BuddyBoss.
bbPress
Section titled “bbPress”Supported, enabled by default when bbPress is active. Hashtags in forum topics and replies link to bbPress search results. Enable or disable from General Settings. See bbPress.
Youzify
Section titled “Youzify”When Youzify is active, a “Followed Hashtags” tab is added to Youzify’s activity tab bar on member profiles. See Youzify & Themes.
BuddyPress Profanity
Section titled “BuddyPress Profanity”When the BuddyPress Profanity plugin is active, an “Enable Content Moderation” toggle appears in General Settings. Turning it on prevents any word in your profanity keyword list from becoming a clickable hashtag — those words render as plain text instead. See Content Moderation.
WordPress Posts & Pages
Section titled “WordPress Posts & Pages”Hashtags in WordPress posts, pages, and comments are supported. This feature is enabled by default and can be turned off from General Settings (“Enable Blog Hashtags”). Hashtag links in posts point to WordPress search results.
