License

The License tab is at WB Plugins > Edit Activity > License.

Activating your license key enables automatic plugin updates delivered through the WordPress updates screen. Without an active license, you can still use the plugin, but you will need to update it manually by downloading a new copy from your Wbcom Designs account.

  1. Go to WB Plugins > Edit Activity > License.
  2. Paste your license key into the License key field.
  3. Click Activate License.

The status pill next to the field updates immediately. A status of Active means automatic updates are enabled.

Status Meaning
Active License is valid and this site is registered. Updates are enabled.
Saved, not activated A key has been saved but not yet activated against this site.
Expired The license period has ended. Renew to restore updates.
Invalid The key was not recognized. Check for typos or log in to your account to confirm the key.
Disabled The key has been disabled. Contact support.
Site inactive The key is valid but not registered to this domain. Click Activate License.
Not activated No key has been saved yet.

If you need to move the license to a different site, deactivate it here first:

  1. Go to WB Plugins > Edit Activity > License.
  2. Click Deactivate License.

The key field becomes editable again and the site count on your account decreases by one.

When your license is active, the License tab shows how many sites are currently using it (for example, “1 of 3 sites”). If you have used all available site slots, deactivate an old site before activating a new one.

If your license has an expiry date, the tab shows it. When expiry is within 30 days, a warning appears reminding you to renew.

Lifetime licenses display Lifetime as the expiry value and never show this warning.

Your key is in your Wbcom Designs account under the purchase for BuddyPress Edit Activity.
