WP Stories gives them exactly that — without sending them somewhere else.
WP Stories adds a full Instagram-style story experience to any WordPress site running BuddyPress, PeepSo, or BuddyBoss Platform. Members upload photos, polish them with a built-in mobile-friendly image editor, and publish stories that automatically appear in the activity feed and on their profile. Stories expire on a schedule you control, keeping content fresh and giving members a reason to check back daily.
Unlike other “stories” plugins, WP Stories is built entirely around user-generated content. Every member can post their own stories, not just admins. You stay in control with per-story privacy settings (public, friends, members only, or private), configurable upload limits, and role-based publishing permissions.
The plugin drops in cleanly with 5 shortcodes and 3 widgets so you can place stories exactly where they make sense on your site. Developers get 29 hooks (19 filters, 10 actions) to extend or customize behavior without touching core plugin files.
