Installation

Before you begin, make sure the Reign theme and LearnDash are both installed and active. See Requirements.

Install the plugin

1. In WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New and click Upload Plugin.
2. Choose the addon .zip file you downloaded from your account and click Install Now.
3. Click Activate.

On activation the addon confirms that Reign and LearnDash are active. If either is missing it will not stay active, so activate those first.

Activate your license

The addon uses an Easy Digital Downloads license for updates. Enter your license key on the Reign license panel and activate it so the site receives plugin updates.

Find the settings

The addon does not add its own top-level admin menu. Its options are added as a LearnDash tab inside the Reign theme settings. Open the Reign settings screen and select the LearnDash tab to configure the addon.

The LearnDash tab is split into sections:

• General - cover images, curriculum and profile layout, Distraction Free Reading, course archive layout, and archive filters.
• Related Courses - enable related courses and set the heading and count.
• Course Group Integration - shown only when BuddyPress (with Groups) is active.
• Learndash Course Activity - shown only when BuddyPress is active; toggles per activity type.
• Group Synchronization - shown when BuddyPress Groups is active (and BuddyBoss Platform is not).

First steps after install

1. Open the LearnDash tab in Reign settings and set a default cover image and your preferred layouts.
2. Create a page and add the [modern_courses] shortcode (or the Modern Courses block) to publish a course grid. See Display a course grid.
3. If you use LearnDash groups, add [modern_groups] to a page. See Display a group grid.
