Overview
Reign Dokan Addon connects the Dokan multivendor marketplace to the Reign theme. It replaces selected Dokan templates with Reign-styled versions and adds vendor, store, and product features that match the rest of a Reign site.
The addon is a theme companion, not a standalone plugin. It runs only when the Reign theme is the active template and Dokan Lite plus WooCommerce are both active. If any of those is missing, the addon deactivates itself in the admin and, on the front end, stops loading its Dokan-dependent code so the site keeps serving pages.
What the addon adds
Section titled “What the addon adds”- Reign-styled Dokan templates. Dokan template parts and templates resolve to the theme or the addon so store pages, the vendor dashboard, and store listings follow the Reign layout.
- Store and vendor listing displays. Two shortcodes and one widget output store and featured-vendor grids, with optional slider, search, and multiple layouts.
- Single product enhancements. Optional store header, a “products from this vendor” strip, a “Sold By” line, and a vendor information box on WooCommerce product pages. These are controlled from the WordPress Customizer.
- Favorite products. A logged-in visitor can mark WooCommerce products as favorites with a heart icon. Favorites are listed on a BuddyPress profile tab.
- BuddyPress store tab and activity. A “Store” tab on vendor profiles, plus activity-stream entries for new products, product reviews, and completed orders.
- Customizer and theme-options controls. Layout and display options live in the Customizer; feature toggles live on a Dokan tab inside the Reign theme options page.
How settings are stored
Section titled “How settings are stored”The feature toggles do not use their own option. They are written into the shared reign_options option under the dokan_option key, which is the same option the Reign theme and its other addons use. The Customizer options are stored as standard theme mods. See Dokan Settings Tab and Customizer Options.
When features are hidden
Section titled “When features are hidden”- The BuddyPress store tab, favorite products, and activity require BuddyPress (or BuddyBoss) to be active.
- If the BuddyVendor plugin is active, the addon skips its entire BuddyPress and social layer so the two plugins do not create duplicate menus and icons. BuddyVendor then owns those features. See Plugin Compatibility.
