Manage Your License
The addon uses an Easy Digital Downloads (EDD) license to deliver updates from wbcomdesigns.com. Activate your license so the plugin can check for and install new versions.
Where the license panel lives
Section titled “Where the license panel lives”The license field is added to the Reign theme’s License Manager tab:
- Open Reign Options.
- Select the License Manager tab.
- Find the Reign WCFM Addon license section.
Activating a license
Section titled “Activating a license”- Paste your license key into the License Key field.
- Save, then press Activate License.
- When activation succeeds, the status shows Active, along with the expiry date and how many of your allowed sites are activated.
Only administrators (users with manage_options) can activate or deactivate the license. Each activation and deactivation is protected by a nonce.
Deactivating a license
Section titled “Deactivating a license”When a license is active, a Deactivate License button appears. Deactivating frees the activation so you can use the key on another site. This decreases your activated-site count.
License status messages
Section titled “License status messages”The panel reports the state returned by the store:
- Active - the key is valid; expiry and site count are shown.
- Expired - the key expired; the expiry date is shown, with an admin notice.
- Invalid - the key is not valid for this URL or product.
- Inactive - no valid, activated key is present. An admin notice prompts you to activate.
Updates
Section titled “Updates”Once a valid key is activated, the plugin registers with WordPress’s update system and offers new versions on the Plugins and Dashboard screens like any other plugin. The license check response is cached for 12 hours.
If updates are not appearing, confirm the license shows Active and that your site can reach wbcomdesigns.com. See Troubleshooting.
