Overview

Reign LifterLMS Addon connects the LifterLMS learning management plugin to the Reign theme. It re-skins the LifterLMS course, membership, lesson, quiz and assignment pages so they match Reign’s design, and it adds course-catalog tools, a tabbed single-course layout, course reviews, a themed student dashboard, LifterLMS widgets, shortcodes, and optional BuddyPress community integration.

The addon does not replace LifterLMS. LifterLMS still owns your courses, memberships, enrollment, payments and student data. This addon changes how that content is presented on a Reign-powered site and adds a handful of front-end features on top.

What the addon adds

  • Tabbed single-course layout with Description, Pricing Plan, Course Content, Instructors, Video, Audio and Review tabs (each shown only when it has content).
  • Course reviews with star ratings submitted from the course page.
  • Related courses section under a single course.
  • Distraction Free Layout for reading lessons.
  • Themed student dashboard with two navigation styles.
  • Two shortcodes for listing courses and instructors.
  • Seven LifterLMS widgets for course-related sidebars.
  • BuddyPress integration (optional): learning activity in the activity stream, a Courses tab on member profiles, and linking a course to a BuddyPress group.
  • Instructor author archive that lists a single instructor’s courses.

How it fits together

The addon boots on plugins_loaded, but only when both LifterLMS is active and Reign is the active theme. If either is missing it deactivates itself (in wp-admin) or stops loading (on the front end) and shows an admin notice, so the site keeps serving normally.

Its settings live inside the Reign theme options under a LifterLMS tab rather than in a menu of their own. Per-course options (custom cover photo, linked BuddyPress group) appear on the course editor screen.
